VILLAGE HALL UPDATED NEWS (Dec 2020)
Although we were promised an end to the latest lockdown on 2nd December, Diseworth now finds itself in Tier 3 of the latest measures announced by the Government.
From our understanding of the new rules the Village Hall must remain closed to our community.
All the clubs and classes usually running must be kept on hold for the time being as the rules say, “group exercise classes (including fitness and dance) should not go ahead.”
However, there are exemptions from gathering limits including for “work” and “education or training – meaning education and training provided as part of a formal curriculum”. You may therefore see the Hall in use should we receive bookings that comply with these criteria.
The Village Hall Field and Children’s Playground will remain open for normal recreational purposes provided the required social distancing and cleanliness rules are followed.
Planning for all the usual social events at the Hall remains on hold in order to carry on the good common-sense measures already observed by the people of Diseworth. We remain committed to helping control and reduce the spread of the COVID19 virus.
