Diseworth Village Hall

Diseworth Village Hall is a traditional community building centrally located in the heart of the rural village of Diseworth in North West Leicestershire. It is close to East Midland Airport and the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire borders. It has easy access to the M1, A42 and A50.

With its traditional construction and versatile design, the Hall is an ideal venue for a variety of occasions such as Community Group gatherings, Club Meetings, Performing Arts, Birthday Parties, Dinner Dances, Weddings, Corporate Events, etc…

The Hall is managed and cared for by volunteers from the village and has undergone some recent refurbishment as part of an ongoing programme of improvements. It is a wonderful village facility available for and used by the whole community. The Hall benefits from a fully equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge and enough crockery and cutlery for 75 guests.  We can also put you in touch with caterers for your functions if required. The Hall has an overall capacity of 100 people and enough tables and chairs available to seat up to 75 people.  There is parking available for approximately 20 cars at the rear of the Hall.

The hall has a fully equipped curtained stage with a comprehensive lighting rig, PA and Projector.  Visitors to the Hall also benefit from free wireless internet connectivity.

Main Hall

The Main Hall is the largest room at 10.7 x 7.4 metres with a functioning 5 x 3 metre Stage at the head of it and is a very versatile space with a selection of Tables and comfortable fabric covered Chairs that can be set-out to suit any type of function. The room is very popular and ideal for Wedding Receptions, Birthday & Anniversary Parties, in fact the uses are almost endless. With a hatch access to the Kitchen drinks and food can be server directly in to the Hall.

Committee Room

The Committee Room measures 7.3 x 3.5 metres and is popular with various group and committees to accommodate their meetings. The committee room has direct access to the stage so is a useful changing area when the Hall is used for theatrical performances. It also doubles up as a food preparation area being placed immediately adjacent to the kitchen, with an access via a door and hatch with counter, it is ideal as somewhere to lay out a buffet meal.

Kitchen

A domestic type Kitchen equipped with crockery, cutlery and drinks glasses is available free for the users of the Hall. This area is often used to house the Bar as it has hatch access to both the Main Hall and Committee Room. With direct access to the outside pre-prepared food can easily be brought in and served from the counter tops via the serving hatches.

Playing Field

Situated behind the Hall is the Village Hall Field, a green space that is equipped with a children’s playground. Although open to the public (it has a public footpath running through it) hirers of the Hall often move their celebrations to the field when the weather permits. External power sockets are provided at the rear of the Hall to inflate bouncy castles, etc. if required.
