Facilities

Diseworth Village Hall

Main Hall

The Main Hall is the largest room at 10.7 X 7.4 metres with a fully equipped, curtained, 5 X 3 metre stage. This has a comprehensive lighting rig, PA system and projector. The Main Hall is a very versatile space with a selection of tables and comfortable fabric-covered chairs that can be set out to suit any type of function. A hatch gives access to the kitchen so drinks and food can be served directly into the Hall.

Committee Room

The Committee Room (7.3 X 3.5 metres) is popular with smaller groups and committees. It has direct access onto the stage so is a useful changing area when the Hall is used for theatrical or musical performances. It can also double up as a food preparation or serving area since it has direct access to the kitchen via a door and a hatch.

Kitchen

The kitchen is well-equipped with a hob and oven, microwave and fridge, as well as sufficient crockery, cutlery and glasses for 100 people. The area can also be used as a bar as its two hatches offer access to both the Main Hall and the Committee Room.

Playing Field

Situated behind the Hall is the Village Hall Field, a green space which includes a children’s playground. Although open to the public (a public footpath runs through it), hirers of the Hall can move their activities to the field when the weather permits. External power sockets are provided at the rear of the Hall to inflate bouncy castles, for example, if required.

Instructions

“The Red Book”, located just inside the entrance doors, contains information and instructions concerning all the Hall’s equipment.
